(BBC) Blues Booster Club

The Blues Booster Club fosters school spirit through athletics. The BBC is composed of parents, Old Boys, faculty members and students in the Prep and Upper Schools, and boosts awareness of athletic events and celebrates athletic performance.

More specifically, the BBC's goals are:

  • to increase UCC fans’ (parents, students, faculty and alumni) enjoyment of, and visibility at, athletic events;
  • to increase communication regarding, and visibility of, UCC athletics;
  • to increase attendance at all athletic events, with a focus on Association Day, Winterfest and May Day, and;
  • to celebrate team, individual and coaching athletic performance.

The foundation of the BBC is the team parent program. Every team in the school is assigned one or two team parents who liaise between the coach, the team and the parents. Their main areas of responsibility include communication and spirit-raising activities.

The BBC also publishes an electronic newsletter filled with stories, photos and highlights of all athletic teams within the UCC community.

The BBC works closely with the board of stewards and Blue Army generals to plan and coordinate spirit-raising activities for parents and students at all major athletic events.
