The Common Ties Mentorship Program's mission is to facilitate mentoring relationships between students, alumni and members of the UCC community to develop the skills, knowledge and expertise needed to excel educationally, professionally and personally. Old Boys from around the world with experience in all areas who are willing to devote as much or as little time as they can spare are invited to help guide and solidify young Old Boys’ career plans over the long and short term through mentoring opportunities. The program includes almost 400 career mentors and more than 600 career mentees.
The Common Ties Alumni Mentorship Program holds a variety of events throughout the year that are open to all members of the UCC community. They attract up to 75 people and include career exploration workshops, professional development seminars and networking opportunities.
