Gifts Beyond Measure
From our modest beginnings in 1829 as a single school house to today’s expansive campus, certain individuals and families have given gifts of such vision that their value is almost beyond measure.
Shining examples are the Wernham & West Centre for Learning, the William P. Wilder ’40 Arena & Sports Complex, the McLeese Debating Fund and the Rufus Savage Room. Such gifts exemplify the value UCC holds in its community's heart.
The Council of 1829
The council holds an annual private reception in the garden of Grant House, the principal’s home, to honour these members.
The council is built on the sprit of generosity and leadership of its 500 members. Each year, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends and grandparents join or rejoin. Their efforts sustain UCC’s quest for excellence in both teaching and student life.
Gifts to the Annual Fund of more than $1,000 made over a single year will be recognized by the Council of 1829.
Chair's Message
Membership in the Council of 1829 demonstrates your belief in UCC, in the boys and their potential, and in the faculty and their ability to provide the best education possible.
I am honoured to serve as volunteer chair of the council because I believe in UCC ... in what it did for me when I was here ... and in what it does for boys today.
Whenever a student excels in the classroom, returns muddied and victorious from the playing field, or pushes his personal boundaries, that is your gift in action. Thank you for your continued support.
